Do you know any good advanced English courses for Interpreters?

And does anybody know this language school/interpreting course in Northern Ireland?

In Northern Ireland unfortunately not, but in Scotland and England...........

The language courses at the summer school of Herriott Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, are definitely worth looking at - they take place during the Edinburgh Festival! Otherwise, take a look at University of Westminster in London.

I've had a look at their website, but I did not find anyhting about interpreting.
It seems a plain language course.
Is there anyhting I did not see?
If they really teach interpreting I may also be interested...

it actually seems to be a plain language course, although it's called "Advanced English course for Interpreters". However, the course includes some conferences on various topics in the afternoon.

When I asked for more information, also on possible practical interpreting classes, the organisers told me that

"There will be no tutored practice in interpreting as our participants are of various languages but it is possible during the tape listening workshop to go into another room and practise alone.
We do organise feedback exercise from the listening workshop in English
The conferences and visits do not include interpreting exercises, again feedback and questions only."

This does not sound very convincing to me - therefor I meanwhile applied for an interpreting course at the Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. ▲ Collapse

I have been at Herriot-Watt and I confirm it is great!
I am just looking for something different, in order not to repeat the same program again.

The exercise you can do in a separate room does not sound very intresting to me either... Moreover, the price is not so low, is it?
