Some weeks ago, Elana Pick posted a message asking ProZ member to participate in a comparative study of the personalities of translators and interpreters. Your response was terrific and enabled me to complete the study with a sufficient number of people in each group. I would like to sincerely thank all of you. The results are fascinating. Your response was terrific and enabled me to complete the study with a sufficient number of people in each group. I would like to sincerely thank all of you. The results are fascinating. You can read about the results in the latest issue of SlavFile the publication of the Slavic Lanugos Division of ATA. Our whole focus on interpreting issue, including this article, can be accessed from http://www.ata-divisions.org/SLD/slavfile.htm. {Should be true as of this coming Monday.) We believe this is our best issue ever and well worth reading even if you do not work with Slavic languages. We intend to include at least one interpreting article in each future issue. If you would like notification when our future issues become available on the web, and you are an ATA member, you are welcome to join our listserv to which you can seek an invitation at http://groups.google.com/group/ata-divisions-sld-slavfile. (If you are not specifically an SLD member you will need to join first (free) from the Divisions page of the ATA website.) If you are not an ATA member and would still like to know when our latest issue becomes available, we will be delighted to tell you. You can join my personal notification list at [email protected].
