Hey you there,
How do you count words in FrameMaker?
I am working on a manual in FM and need to make a word count. Is there a tool for that within FM? I don't have the book, just separate chapters.
Is there a software for that?
How do I count cross-refs?

Hi Lida,

In FrameMaker 8 you can find WordCount under:

File > Utilities > Document Reports

But I don't know how to count cross references.

Usually I don't deal with the translation directly in FrameMaker. All major CAT tools can convert FrameMaker MIF files and count the words in these files.
