I receive this error message when I attempt to open Swordfish:
[Fatal Error] 242:6 The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup.
Tried shutting down the computer and rebooting, but still receive this message.
Many thanks in advance for any help you could give.

Damaged XML

That error indicates that the program tried to ope na damaged or invalid XML file.
If this happened while you tried to open an XLIFF file, then your XLIFF file is damaged and need to be fixed or recreated.
Regards,
Rodolfo

Thanks for your speedy reply Rodolfo.
I'm not trying to open an xliff file yet, this message appears when I click on the Swordfish icon on my desktop in an attempt to open the program.
